A B S T R A C T

The city of Yogyakarta has many predicates such as student town, city culture and tourism city. With the number of predicate, the delivery of information is still very limited. This has become one of the obstacles in the field of traffic information delivery. Especially tourists and people who do not know the route to be traversed. Viewed from the existing constraints then be made to a web-based geographic information system to determine the optimum route search in the city of Yogyakarta.

 

Preparation of GIS to search for the optimum route to a web-based help or as an alternative technology in the development of the internet itself. Currently the web is one source of information that is widely used for means of promotion and information.

 

Geographic information system is expected to help road users to search for the optimum route in Kot Yogyakarta. Geographic Information System is also expected to become inputs for government and private sector to pay more attention to and improve information services relating to traffic.
