A B S T R A C T

                                                   ABSTRACT


             Multimedia is a merger of several media in order to penetrate the delivery of messages, multimedia generally consists of aspects of the sound (voice) image (picture) or a combined video and text thus increasing the power of intuition and appreciation to the user.  Multimedia is generally used to communicate  formation about the product or the organization as a promotional tool is interesting, because the advantages of multimedia is interesting sense, interest and a combination of sight, sound, and movement.

For multimedia system works and can be used as a tool for competitive advantage, then the development of multimedia systems must be constantly up to date, particularly the field of multimedia technology. With the growing development of multimedia technology is increasingly giving users many options to choose Multimedia, Animation is one of the techniques in multimedia development is very popular, especially following the 3D animation to make animation more life, so as to attract public attention, and easy to remember. In multimedia, animation and modeling software are legion.

For example, 3D Studio MAX, a 3D modeling program based on Windows standards. 3D Studio Max is used in the visualization design. The perfect choice for designers, for the manufacture of a virtual building will greatly assist in the search area or building floor plans, khusnya-storey building which is quite complicated, STMIK AMIKOM may be one example of which represent types of buildings are quite spacious, namyak room and function, thus making "MAP OF BUILDING STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA WITH ANIMATED 3D", not only aimed to implement the expertise in the field of multimedia, but it is really to provide easy solutions in order to browse the entire sudt-corner of the room and its function. In this thesis, the author tries to make the design and construction of the STMIK AMIKOM using 3D. Inside the building mapping aims to find a location or place information and facilitate one's good students, and prospective new students in finding rooms in STMIK AMIKOM. In addition, it aims to provide the best services and information for students.
