Has done the design and realization of making the water level monitoring system with microcontroller based water level sensor ATMEGA8535. This tool can be used as a tool to monitor water levels on flood plains. So that the detection does notneed to be done by physical contact between humans and the water surface. The hardware of this device consist of a keypad LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), microcontroller ATMEGA8535, Mobile devices, water level sensor, drivers, buzzerand LED. Water level sensor detect the water surface with the sensor. The datawill then be processed by the microcontroller to display on the LCD and transmitted the form of SMS (Short Masage Service). The system also has another warningsign that is in the form of indicator lightsm an alarm buzzer in accordance with the desired user. The principle works based on the C language program that has been programmed in microcontroller. In testing the hardware and software, it is known that the detection system can bemore efficient and cheaper than using human labor or water level sensors made by the manufacturer.
