A B S T R A C T

Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the new trends in the world of technology. IoT offers a lot of potential that can be explored. IoT is a concept that aims to expand the benefits of internet connectivity. IoT allows objects around us to communicate between each other through a network such as the internet.

We can make IoT systems using a microcontroller. In this thesis temperature monitoring is carried out by storing device temperature data utilizing a DS18B20 water proof temperature sensor that will be processed by the microcontroller then continuously sending the temperature data to the Internet Of Things platform utilizing the ESP8266 wifi module.

Then an Android application will display temperature data that has been stored on the Internet of Things platform. Temperature data will be monitored in realtime using an Android device which of course requires an internet connection to be able to access data from the internet of things platform using an Android device.
