APPLICATION DESIGN CATALOGUE OF HAIRCUTS USING AUGMENTED REALITY ON ANDROID-BASED BARBERSHOP MAX S.T.C.

A B S T R A C T

Augmented Reality is a technology that combines virtual objects into the real environment in real time. Augmented Reality has been applied to various fields, one of which is a field annotation and visualization. By utilizing the technology of Augmented Reality on a catalogue of different Types of haircuts, the kinds of pieces can be virtual so that the customer can find out the Type of haircut with more detail.

The business started growing rapidly so that the Barbershop business travelers plunged into this business. The use of media promotion with a two-dimensional object is still in use, so the resulting point of view is very limited. Because of the limited viewing angle make the prospective buyer less intrigued by the model in the form of two dimensional snippets. Therefore, researchers have proposed to implement Augmented Reality into an application on a mobile device.

Using Augmented Reality can make customer to see the kinds of pieces in three dimensional form. This application is also handy for Developers in doing promotion. The making of this application using the software Unity using C # programming language for the creation of a model hair using Virtual software object that generates 2017 three dimensions. The results obtained from this research, namely, an application with an implementation of Augmented Reality for memisualisasi haircut in three dimensional form. To process a test using the respondents from the Barbershop MAX kind of place of shaving. More than 70% of the respondents declared that the app is interesting because it can see a model of her in three dimensional form, so you can see the stylenya of the various sides before being implemented. And it is also more interactive applications as media promotion.
