PENERAPAN TEKNIK PARALLAX DALAM PEMBUATAN VIDEO PROMOSI PADA PRODUK FOLKEN

A B S T R A C T

Folken is clothing brand consisting since 2015 in Yogyakarta, with the concept of horror and darkness that is applied in the form of media apparel in the form of shirts, jackets, hats, pants and accessories. With the tagline “Dark Adaptation” which is intended for underground music lovers, as the main target consumer. During this time the promotion process on Folken used conventional methods, such as promotion still using Instagram social media so that promotions carried out in this way had the disadvantage of not giving a detailed description of product information.

In this thesis, researchers try to analyze the existing problems and apply current information technology advances. The promotion process in Folken was developed by making promotional videos with live shot techinques and visual parallax effects that were equipped with multimedia elements such as animation, text, audio, and video. This promotional video provides a lot of information such as product display, how to use, and contact information.

The results of the research conducted in making this promotional video have met the requirements in the multimedia aspect and information aspects. Making this promotional video is expected to be a solution to promote to the public and help potential customers to find out detailed information abaout Folken.
