A B S T R A C T

Mardisiwi kindergarten is one of the educational institutions of children in the city of Lamongan, in teaching for the introduction of animals to students is done only through the method of telling stories and drawing on paper. The media is still not
able to provide maximum results in the delivery process.

Book media only provides simple visualization in forms and images, still looks oldfashioned and less interactive. by using Augmented Reality technology it is expected that in the teaching process about animal recognition can be more interesting and fun, because augmented reality can be a virtualization props in the form of 3d.

This augmented reality application will work through the android platform so that the process of introducing animals can be more interesting and easy to apply because it is lightweight and easy to carry everywhere. with the process the user runs the
application on an android smartphone, then the application will trace the marker, after the marker is identified according to the data contained in the application system, the application will display animals in 3d on the smartphone screen.
