PERANCANGAN GAME VISUAL NOVEL “WALI SANGA” DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN RENPY DAN ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR

A B S T R A C T

Video game development continues to become more and more complex. In time, the new format from the Video game known as the Visual Novel slowly grew up in Japan. They are one game called Bishōjo games as Japan and is now know as one of the format used in Japan as one of the subcultere in gaming history. Appears as a normal novel on screen, a Visual Novel brings together such as background images, characters, sounds, animations and various media in a single game, making more realistic novels. Indonesia, as a country, has set a few people's eyes in the Visual Novel.

Renpy as a Visual Novel creator program brings more advantages than several other Visual Novel creator. Renpy use pure script to make one, which capable to make anything possible, as long as your programming is adequate. While it's also possible to make a standard Visual Novel, to make it more better than a standard, Beach Restaurant, the name of the Visual Novel in this paper, implemented 2 minigames in it.

In this paper, the author showed that in creating a game, especially Visual Novel game using Renpy will be easily carried out. He also expecting in the near future, games such Visual Novel will be widely known in Indonesia, and people will start creating them.
