A B S T R A C T

Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten, Perumnas, Condong Catur Yogyakarta in the Design of Weekly Learning Program (RPPM) has many teaching themes that are taught in every day. But in the learning process, there has been no use of multimedia-based technology. While the facilities are very possible to apply multimedia-based learning media.

In this thesis researchers try to create a learning media by utilizing multimedia technology in the field of animation. Animation is one of the most commonly used multimedia technologies as a learning tool. The use of animation as a learning tool (Learning Media) is believed to improve student performance in teaching and learning process. There have been many studies that have proven that the use of animation as a learning aid provides positive results, depending on the level of learning and who the students are. In the design of Learning Media, researchers use Life Cycle development method (Heather Chandler 2008) with Pre-Production stage ie concept making, character design, script making and storyboard and then followed by Production stages of record and editing audio, animating characters and background and last stage Post Production with stages Editing, compositing and rendering.

Learning media produced in the form of 2D animated video with a duration of four minutes, which is intended to convey one of the learning themes recorded in the Design of Weekly Learning Program. With the colors and interesting characters, as well as the delivery of materials that are very directed learning media produced felt able to facilitate teachers in the process of delivering learning materials.
