A B S T R A C T

Animation in the world has developed quite rapidly, many once discovered new techniques in the making increasingly easier for animators in creating an animation. Techniques that writer use is a frame to frame technique commonly used in traditional 2D animation creation.

The idea of promotional advertising in this thesis is to disseminate and promote the University of AMIKOM Yogyakarta in the form of animation that can attract new students in the field.

In the making of this animation using pre-production - production - post production model of the design that each stage has its own characteristics. The use of a collection of some software from Adobe Creative Suite aims to facilitate the making of animation because of software each other are connected. Finished animation titled " Iklan Animasi Universitas AMIKOM Yogyakarta " was published in Youtube.
