A B S T R A C T

Augmented reality (AR) is a computer graphics processing technology that combines the virtual world and the real world. By utilizing this technology, one is easy to express his imagination in a more imaginative, efficient and interesting visual form. Augmented reality technology meproyeksikan 3D virtual objects into the real environment in real-time. This technology is expected to facilitate user interaction with computer.

Implementation of augmented reality has been used in various fields, one of them in the field of education as a means of learning. Examples such as applications that will be made researchers, namely as a class of animal learning media based on the type of food based on android. It is raining for a companion media as a means of introduction and also as a means of learning the child about the animals around him.

Animal augmented reality application based on this type of food is made using unity software and 3Ds max. To display three-dimensional output on a smartphone, a marker is required. The testing process of this application consists of testing distem and field testing.
