DIGITASI HYDRANT DI STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA

A B S T R A C T

Geographic Information System (GIS) recently developed rapidly along with the development of information technology. Computer-based GIS combines map (geographical) elements with map information (attribute data) designed to generate information in the form of visual two-dimensional digital maps. Disaster is a phenomenon that can impact material and soul loss. In Indonesia, fires are a fairly common disaster in Indonesia and claimed many lives. STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta campus has a large area with six separate lecture buildings.

In STMIK AMIKOM there is no hydrant installation, indicating that STMIK AMIKOM is prone to fire disaster. According to Ministry of Public Works Decree No.10 / KPTS / 2000 Chapter 5 section 3 on manual fire-fighting systems, each building must have two types of hydrants, namely building hydrant and pillar hydrant . The purpose of this research is to make a map of digitized hydrant point, to make planning of hydrant point placement, and to look for disaster prone point of fire in STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta.

The results showed that the installation of hydrants proposal in STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta was two pillar hydrants. Determination of hydrant point is based on the existence of water source and distance to the point of prone to fire. Found the most fire prone point in STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta is the building lecture II. The closer a building with a fire-prone point the faster it becomes exposed to fire propagation in case of fire.
