A B S T R A C T

The emergence of Internet of Things (IoT) has been captured a lot of attention by the researchers. IoT has been implemented almost in every fields, i.e. Smart City, Smart Building, Smart Environtment etc. One of the most problems that faced by the Researcher is how to monitor temperature and humidity at the certain area efficiently and low costly. To reduce these problems, NodeMCU 8266 appear with several advantages like low cost, using low power resource, and has a WiFi module so that can be used as a client which can send temperature and humidity value to Raspberry Pi. Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) Protocol, which is almost used in IoT, is a light message tranport protocol that can send the data even though in a high latency condition. Raspberry Pi is used as a server room to receive the data from NodeMCU ESP8266 that functioned as Wifi-based Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The collected data can be looked on a web browser as a part of
information which can be used by the user.
