A B S T R A C T

Culture is a hallmark and symbol of each region respectively. South Kalimantan is a province in Indonesia with a variety of natural and cultural wealth. With the potential, South Kalimantan deserves to be appreciated by tourists both local and foreign tourists. Tourism has a very important role in the development of the economy. Therefore, it takes a variety of promotions to lift travel and the culture of this province.

Video is one medium that can assist and facilitate the Department of Tourism and Culture as well as local residents in promoting it. The introduction and knowledge of travel and cultural diversity in South Kalimantan is going to be presented in a video promotion of tourism and culture of South Kalimantan. Promotional videos with additional touch of animation will certainly add its own charm. The technique used in its multimedian development is the Multimedia Develpoment Life Cycle by Sutopo.

From the design of this video promotion obtained the results and conclusions that by maximizing the progress of technology in the form of video can facilitate in terms of promotional activities, and ease in accessing information in the form of videos
that have been distributed to social media such like youtube.
