IMPLEMENTASI ALGORITMA TIME-BASED ONE TIME PASSWORD PADA SISTEM KEAMANAN PINTU DENGAN ARDUINO

A B S T R A C T

Door security is a very important issue to secure valuable goods in the room. There are lots type of electronic security systems, such as Personal Identification Number (PIN), magnetic card, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) card. The disadvantages of PIN system is if there are other people know the password, they can open the door. The disadvantages of card system is easy to duplicate magnetic and RFID card data.

One of solution is using Time Based One-time Password (TOTP) token, this algorithm will generate dynamic token that always change every time. Token generated by Android app. User enter the token on the microcontroller and the microcontroller will compute tokens using the same algorithm and then compared, if same microcontroller will unlock the door.

The system is a prototype of electronic door lock and an Android app as a token generator. The result is a token that can be used at this time, cannot be used again on another time. This will increase security when token is known by others.
