A B S T R A C T

Extended Weighted Tree Similarity is one of the search algorithms that can be applied in building a job system. This algorithm is used to get the similarity level of two objects by doing the calculation of the weight of the object. The results of the calculation Against weights yields a number close to 0 and 1, the numbers close to 1 have a high degree of similarity. The purpose of this study is to present and provide information about job vacancies and job search in accordance with the criteria of job seekers by utilizing a web-based information service using the Extended Weighted Tree Similarity algorithm. Extended Weighted Tree Similarity was used to compare the user input on the criteria of the job on a web page with existing jobs data in the database in order to find a similarity weight value of the objects. This algorithm is superior in the result from search process not to wide and narrow and the information that is served not too strict and not too loose.
