A B S T R A C T

In its development in all aspects of life will always connect with the technology of one of them, namely agriculture. If we talk about agriculture there is one one of the favorite plant of society Indonesia, namely cassava, in this case one of the important aspects that affect crops, cassava is a disease suffered by cassava in itself. With respect to this need for systems that can help diagnose and detect early disease in natural Plant Cassava.

Subjects in this research is the application of expert system as a medium to help diagnose and detect early disease in natural Plant Cassava. The expert system method in use is a Forward Chaining, which later applied into a system based websites. The collection of data in this study using the method of literature, documentation methods, methods of interview and observation methods. The system is built with a Waterfall model, namely analysis and requirements definition, system and software design, implementation and testing of the unit, integration and system testing as well asoperation and maintenance.

The results of this research is the application of expert system to determine diseases of cassava plant based on symptoms in naturally by the plant cassava, and based onthe disease in the natural results of the cassava plant Diagnostics, the system will provide the solution control and prevention of the disease.
