A B S T R A C T
Indonesia is an archipelago with abundant natural resources from the bottom to the earth surface of energy to the food everything is in Indonesia. One of the important commodity concerning the lives of many people is to produce a rice paddy. But today it is experiencing deterioration in rice production, one of which is caused by pests. According to the problem above is necessary to build a system that can accurately diagnose pests.
This system was developed by collecting data using three methods, methods of literature study, observation, and methods interviews with related experts. Data were obtained from literature study method is sourced from literature, journals, and books related to pests in rice plants. An observation method to collect data from the field. Interview method gets the data from an expert interviewed. Once all the necessary data is sufficient, the system can be developed.
From the above results obtained a conclusion that this research can perform diagnostics on rice plants and displays diagnostic results with the value certainty and also the system can help the community in detecting pests that occur.
