RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI PEMESANAN MENU RUMAH MAKAN BERBASIS WEB (STUDI KASUS: RONALEE RESTO YOGYAKARTA)

A B S T R A C T

Ronalee Resto still uses traditional way in their menu ordering process, which is writing the customer’s order on a piece of paper. Problem that occurs is that the customers have to wait for a long time to get the menu that they had already placed, the accumulation of orders on one of the waiter when the restaurant is busy causes the orders to be processed slowly and disorderly, resulting in the decrease of customer satisfaction in Ronalee Resto.

This research builds a web-based application that facilitates the integration between waiter, cook and cashier. The application was designed using UML (Unified Modelling Language) method. The research was divided into three parts which are collecting the datas, system development requirements and system development methodology. The process of collecting data is accomplished by interviewing the owner of the restaurant. The requirements of the system is matched with available devices and also the system that had already been implemented. The methodology used to develop the system is prototyping.

The application helps reduce the waiter’s workload by removing the need to go to the kitchen just to give orders to the cooks, which can help the waiters to focus more on serving customers. The cooks can see all the customer’s orders by the order they were placed and the cook’s page will be automatically updated once an order has been placed.
